DIY: Kirigami Mistletoe

December 14, 2009 at 1:13 am Leave a comment

This is the second part of my kirigami xmas theme project.

Read the first part here

To make this kirigami mistletoe, you will need:

  • square paper (green). I use 8,5 x 8,5 cm
  • scissor
  • red paper (for the ribbon). I use 4 x 4 cm
  • small circles (for red and white berries). I use hope puncher to make them

Steps:

Begin with the basic folding. Steps explained here.

Now, we’re moving to the cutting part

  1. cut the paper
  2. now you have this part
  3. open it
  4. take the red paper, fold in half
  5. cut (make a ribbon shape)
  6. unfold/ open it
  7. place the ribbon on the top
  8. place the red & white berries. Mistletoe done!

You can mount this onto paperstock, and have a sweet xmas card!

Happy holidays!
